CASE STUDY:
Northeast Utilities — HP Hood

In 2010, Rivermoor Energy began working closely with HP Hood, a leading national dairy processing and distribution company, to develop strategies to reduce Hood's greenhouse gas emissions while lowering the company's operating costs.

Utilizing Northeast Utilities' net metering program, HP Hood will reduce electrical costs through a clean source of renewable power.

The approximately 1.7 megawatt solar asset serving the Hood plant and the utility is located on a former landfill directly adjacent to Hood's facilities.
