Devens Utility Division
Rivermoor Energy began working with the Devens Utility Division in early 2009 to explore the use of solar power as a component of the utility's overall power portfolio. At that time, the utility was essentially 100% reliant on conventional sources of electrical power.
Rivermoor Energy identified several locations which would be feasible from an infrastructure and engineering perspective, settling on an optimal site proximate to core utility operations.
The Devens Utility Division will be the beneficiary of 100% of the solar power produced by the approximately three megawatt solar asset, substantially reducing operating costs while adding a clean source of locally produced power to the utility's portfolio.
