Rivermoor Energy led the project development planning and grant funding process, working closely with MetroWest Subaru’s Dealer Principal, Frank Hanenberger, and General Manager, V.J. Donnelly. Rivermoor Energy partnered with electrical contractor Universal Electric in the engineering, construction and commissioning of the EV charging infrastructure, equipment and supporting software services.
MetroWest Subaru has been a leader in vehicle electrification over the past several years, with its Crosstrek Hybrid model leading the way. The 2023 Crosstrek Hybrid features a 148-horsepower plug-in-hybrid system supported by a 2.0-liter flat four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, an 8.8-kWh battery, a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive. In addition, MetroWest will soon offer the Subaru Solterra. Built on Subaru’s new all-electric architecture – the e-Subaru Global Platform – the 2023 Subaru Solterra is the first AWD electric vehicle to feature Subaru’s legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
